‘Keys to the City’ leads to debate on neighborhood congress (Columbia Missourian) — The City of Columbia hosted a “Keys to the City” event Wednesday night, which included informal office hours with councilmembers, and a discussion surrounding the creation of a neighborhood congress. While Wednesday marked its first official meeting, the details and the planning of the congress were vague, and many wondered if it was necessary.

City employees pitch new requests to council (Columbia Missourian) — Labor representatives brought requests from city employees before the Columbia City Council on Monday night, asking for raises, wireless Internet, pay for weight training and more. Aware of the pinched city budget, union representatives tried to keep financial requests to a minimum.

Council to see police review plan (Columbia Daily Tribune) — A city ordinance to create a civilian review board for the Columbia Police Department appears headed to the Columbia City Council with possible adoption this summer.
