Commission OKs plans for addition to Warren Funeral Chapel building (CM) — The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a request Thursday night by Millard Family Investments to add a 2,508-square-foot addition to the Warren Funeral Chapel building and increase the size of its parking lot.

Columbia pools cut operating hours (CM) — In a cost-cutting effort, Columbia’s public pools are reducing their operating hours this summer.
City pools ready for summer, with hours slightly reduced (CDT) — Each aquatic facility will be open one less hour per day this year.

• Forsee eliminates 22 UM System positions (CM) — Twenty-two positions in the University of Missouri System have been eliminated, President Gary Forsee announced Thursday.
• UM will nix 15 positions (CDT) — The University of Missouri System will cut 15 positions in an effort to fund future initiatives and to stash some cash back for rainy days, President Gary Forsee announced yesterday.
