· ‘Cash for clunkers’ increases Columbia car sales (CM)     Columbia residents are flocking to area car dealerships to take advantage of the highly popular “cash for clunkers” program, even amid worries that funding for the program is almost depleted.  

· Kit Bond says COLT bridge important for driver safety (CM)     Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo., said construction of a bridge for the Columbia Terminal Railroad will save lives and prevent accidents on U.S. 63.

· Proposal aims to bar loitering (CDT)     Some Columbia leaders are exploring ways to help police and business owners control loitering on city sidewalks and streets.
