Columbia elementary schools to get new language materials (Missourian)

For the first time in 18 years, Columbia public schools will introduce new reading course materials for elementary students.  The school board voted 4-3 to approve the new content on Monday night.

Columbia receives $2 million in federal funding for new city buses (KOMU)

The funds will help to replace six city buses as well as two paratransit vans.

Two candidate forums to take place on Wednesday (Daily Tribune)

Candidates for the 21st, 23rd, 24th, and 25th House districts as well as Boone County presiding commissioner will be present for at least one of the two forums.  The first will take place from 11 a.m to 1 p.m at the Columbia Public Library, while the second forum will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m in the same location.
