Signs at Cattlemen’s polling place slam Humane Society

4:46 p.m.

While i was voting at Missouri’s Cattlemen’s Foundation this afternoon, I noticed five feet away a sign that could be in violation of electioneering rules because it took the Humane Society of the United States to task. Then I noticed there were others around the room.

The Humane Society of the United States is one of the primary supporters of Proposition B, which calls for new regulations on dog breeding operations in Missouri.

Lauren Morrison, a poll worker at the building, said she did not see the signs. “I don’t have time to look at signs,” she said.

Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren was notified, and the signs have been taken down.

There was also a “Vote No on Prop B” sign outside of the Cattlemen’s polling station.
