Deputy Police Chief Tom Dresner resigned yesterday after having a year-long affair with a subordinate. Dresner began working in the Columbia Police Department in 1984.

Fourth Columbia traffic signal box will receive makeover — Missourian

The city is looking for an artist to decorate a traffic signal box at the corner of Seventh and Broadway. The artist will receive $1,500 as a stipend for the project and submissions must be completed by Feb. 18. When completed, it will be the fourth box to be painted downtown.
