“Gov. Jay Nixon on Monday ordered the National Guard to activate 600 troops as a blizzard warning was issued for areas of the state. The entire state will be affected by the storm, which will spread ice, snow and high winds across the state over the next two days. “My chief concern is the safety and health of Missourians,” Nixon said at a news conference Monday.”
