Show Me The Money: Campaign finance deadlines loom

Candidates running for Columbia City Council seats and the Columbia School Board in the April 5 municipal election are required to submit personal financial disclosure reports and campaign finance reports.

Look for stories about the candidates finances in the Columbia Missourian soon.

Here are the dates the filings are due by:

Forty days before election report: Due Feb. 24.

Eight days before election report: Due March 28.

Contributions more than $5000: Any individual or committee receiving such a contribution from any individual must file a report within 48 hours of its receipt.

Late contribution report: Any individual or committee that receives a contribution of more than $250 after March 24 must file a report within 24 hours of its receipt.

Political Action Committee late expenditure reports: Each time a political action committee spends more than $250 after March 23, it must file a full disclosure report within 24 hours (not including contributions made to other committees).
