The new parking garage at Fifth and Walnut has cost more to operate and keep the lights on than the amount of revenue that it has brought in. Many have complained about the bright lights emitting from the garage.

At its meeting last night, the council approved a measure that allows manufacturers with more than 25 employees to apply for a gradual rate increase over three years giving them a break on their sanitary sewer bills.

New Providence Road Pedway project among City Council actions — Columbia Missourian

A motion was passed at the City Council meeting last night to move forward with plans for a pedway project on Providence Road that would include constructing an 8-to-10-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side of Providence Road from Wilkes Boulevard to Vandiver Drive.
