Fairground manager calls it quits after nearly two decades – Columbia Missourian

George Harris, general manger of the Boone County Fairgrounds for almost 20 years, retired on Oct. 1. The County Commission has a temporary contract with TAG Events, LLC to take care of the grounds until a permanent replacement for Harris can be found.

Bethel-Nifong rezoning decision expected at Monday’s City Council meeting – Columbia Missourian

The Planning and Zoning committee voted in favor of rezoning on Aug. 4. Currently the 22 acre plot is zoned for residential and office use. The rezoning would allow for the construction of commercial use and apartments for seniors. The residents of the nearby Bedford Walk neighborhood oppose the rezoning.

A timeline showing the collapse of the Mamtek project in Moberly. The company failed to send a $3.2 million bond payment to Moberly and also failed to send payment to UMB bank. The company is now being investigated by the SEC, has assigned all its factory assets to Development Specialists Inc. and has liquidated its equipment to pay creditors.
