Mobile home park ordinance comes too late for Columbia Regency tenants — Columbia Missourian

The Columbia City Council passed an ordinance requiring mobile home park owners to give residents at least 180 days notice before they are removed from the property. The ordinance was a result of the controversy surrounding the request to rezone the land currently being used for the Columbia Regency mobile home park.

Health officials continue investigation of E. coli cases — Columbia Missourian

A fifth suspected case of E. coli in Boone County tested negative for the bacteria over the weekend. This leaves the total number of confirmed cases in the county at four. Two of these cases have the same genetic makeup as the cases in the St. Louis outbreak, which has 30 confirmed cases.

Columbia Public Schools names Battle High principal, new assistant superintendent — Columbia Missourian

Kim Presko was selected as the first principle of Battle High School, and Jolene Yoakum was chosen as the district’s new assistant superintendent for secondary education. Presko is currently Oakland Junior High School’s principal. She will officially start her new position in July, but will start joining planning and transition discussions for Battle immediately.

MU sells RADIL for $43 million — Columbia Daily Tribune

IDEXX Laboratories Inc., a Maine-based company, has announced that it is buying the Research Animal Diagnostic Laboratory from MU for $43 million. RADIL was founded in 1968, and provides biological and genetic testing services for companies that use animals in biomedical research.
