City officials are considering a switch to natural-gas fueled busses. Currently, city busses run on diesel. Recently, city officials travelled to three cities to observe their transit systems. In these cities, Ames, Iowa; Lawrence, Kan,; and Champaign, Ill., all featured hybrid fueled busses.

Gov. Nixon opposing Missouri lawmakers on cut to blind aid by The Associated Press

Gov. Nixon is holding a news conference today, March 13, in Columbia to oppose a cut in state-aid to the blind. Recently, the House budget committee voted to eliminate a $30 million program that covers medical care for blind people who do not qualify for Medicaid. The committee provide a small $6 million program.

Express Scripts says merger may occur sooner by Jim Doyle, St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Express Scripts Inc.’s $29 billion merger with their rival Medco Health Solutions Inc. is closer to earning approval. Express Scripts told the Securities and Exchange Commission this week that it expects the merger to happen by as early as April.
